Chapter 328 – Bridal Attire

Chapter 328 – Bridal Attire

Since it’s about Elliot and Camilla’s wedding, I contacted Kennel via communication device to inform him of the date and attendee details, and had him prepare the banquet arrangements on the Barony of Silun side as well.

“Judging from the message on the communication device, the old butler seems quite enthusiastic. I think he’s happy about Elliot-sama’s wedding.”

“I’m sure he is. In the Barony of Silun. And with those two, of all people.”

For Kennel, this might be a scene he’d only dreamed of. Especially since he once thought Elliot had died, his joy must be all the greater.

We’re also progressing with the airship construction to make it in time for the wedding date.

Since we’ve managed to optimize the state-fixing spell formulas, I can help with training for Party Members and the Demon-Slaying Knight Order while working without any issues… The construction is proceeding smoothly.

Meanwhile, Elliot is busy supervising the Demon-Slaying Knight Order’s training and sending out invitations. When I mentioned this, he gave a wry smile and said, “I’m not as busy as you are, Theodore-san. I need to work hard too.” From my perspective, since much of my work involves using magic, I don’t feel as busy as it might appear to others.

And so today’s work also came to an end. As evening fell and I was relaxing in the game room, Cecilia came to inform me of visitors.

“Master, we have guests. Lady Miriam and someone called Lady Daisy.”

“Ah, understood. I believe they’re here for Elliot-san and Camilla-san. Please show them to the reception room.”

“Certainly.”

Cecilia bowed slightly and returned.

“Is it about the bridal gown?”

“Most likely. Could you both come with me to the reception room?”

“Yes.”

I headed to the reception room together with Elliot and Camilla.

Daisy is an acquaintance of Miriam, the owner of the Labyrinth Trading Company, and runs a tailor shop in Termwills. She’s the one we placed the order with for Camilla’s bridal gown.

We’ve had Daisy make coats and dresses for us several times before. Therefore, when Elliot asked us if there were any good shops in Termwills, it automatically meant Daisy’s shop.

When we approached the reception room, Cecilia was waiting outside. She knocked to inform Miriam and Daisy inside that we had arrived, then we entered the reception room.

“Good evening, everyone.”

“Good evening, Miriam-san, Daisy-san.”

“Good evening. The requested item has been completed, so I’ve brought it for you to see the finished product.”

After exchanging greetings, Daisy smiled and bowed slightly.

“I went to visit Daisy, and when I learned the dress she’d been commissioned to make was finished, I volunteered to act as escort for the journey. It was getting dark, and the delivery item is precious.”

“Is that so? Thank you.”

At Miriam’s words, Elliot expressed his gratitude. Perhaps Miriam’s visit to Daisy led to the decision to bring the completed dress right away.

“May I show you the finished product now?”

“Then I shall excuse myself for a moment.”

Elliot stood up. There’s something of a tradition that it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bridal gown before the wedding day.

“Then, please take care of this.”

Elliot temporarily left the room.

In response to Camilla’s words, Daisy carefully took out a pure white dress from its wrapping. The luster of silk thread. Delicate frills and embroidery… One could see Daisy’s meticulous workmanship.

Camilla’s eyes widened, and as she gently received it, she lightly ran her hand over it and narrowed her eyes.

“…Such delicate embroidery. It’s amazing.”

“Are you pleased with it?”

“Yes, very much.”

“Please, try slipping your arms through the sleeves.”

“Is that alright?”

Camilla smiled happily. There are probably aspects you can’t know without trying it on.

“It seems better if I step out too. I’ll go to the game room as well.”

“I shall also leave the room until you’ve finished changing.”

“Then once preparations are complete, Lady Camilla and I will come to you.”

And so, I decided to leave the reception room for now and kill some time.

“Has Lady Camilla’s dress been completed?”

When I returned to the game room, Ashley asked.

“Yeah. She’s changing into it now.”

“I think she’ll show us once she’s finished changing… um, that’s right. Sir Elliot—”

“Then, if you’ll permit me, I think I’ll go to the guest room for now. It would be better for the ladies to see it in a bright, spacious place like the game room.”

Elliot said with a wry smile, then was guided to the guest room by Cecilia.

“Elliot-sama looks somewhat disappointed.”

“Hmm. I suppose so.”

I answered Ashley, who was smiling wryly.

“We should keep food and drinks away. It would be terrible if they got stained.”

“I’ll help, Grace-sama.”

At Grace’s words, everyone divided tasks to move teacups, pots, and such away from the entrance, carrying them to the back of the game room. With Camilla about to make her appearance wearing the bridal gown, the female members seemed quite excited.

“A bridal gown, huh. When it comes to marriage in the Labyrinth Village, the Arachne make them. Weddings become village-wide festivals.”

“That’s… I’d kind of like to see that.”

At that time, the Labyrinth Village residents would probably remove their emotion-suppressing magic tools, and Claudia would suppress the labyrinth’s movements.

The Labyrinth Village residents are probably honing their singing, dancing, and musical instrument skills for that day. Cyrille is like that too – the villagers being skilled in arts probably has reasons connected to that.

“Recently, since they don’t need to suppress emotions anymore, we have more flexibility with wedding dates. Eventually, I’d like to try having a festival outside.”

Claudia smiled gently. I see. They might be coordinating things like deciding wedding dates while considering Claudia’s magical power consumption.

While we were talking like this, Camilla arrived at the game room wearing the bridal gown, with Miriam and Daisy supporting the long hem. Everyone’s gaze gathered on Camilla in her pure white dress and veil.

“How… is it?”

“You look beautiful, Lady Camilla.”

“Thank you, Lady Ashley.”

“If there are any areas needing adjustments, I’m ready to accommodate.”

“Thank you. It seems comfortable to wear too.”

The female members’ reactions were positive. Marlene’s eyes were sparkling, and Rosemary was watching with interest while hiding her mouth with her feather fan and nodding.

Since it wouldn’t be good to keep Elliot waiting too long, and we’d be in trouble if it got dirty, after everyone had a good look at Camilla’s wedding dress, Camilla returned to the reception room to change again.

“I must tell Elliot-sama that it was a truly wonderful finished product.”

“That’s right. Perhaps it would be better not to say anything too specific, to increase the anticipation?”

“Yes.”

After Claudia answered, Ashley nodded with a happy expression.

And so, it seems another preparation for the wedding has moved forward. A wedding dress, huh. I too… when I marry everyone, I’ll need to prepare something proper.

Well, that aside… if we’re heading to the Barony of Silun, there’s a matter that’s becoming timely.

“I think the pumpkins we’re growing with the Evil Weeds should be ready around this time, so if the results are good, we might consider introducing them to the Barony of Silun too.”

“Ah. That’s right. Probably before the wedding, I suppose?”

“The pumpkins in the back have gotten quite large, haven’t they?”

Yes. They had become monster pumpkins large enough to hold in both arms. The Evil Weeds showed no change either.

I’ve heard that Evil Weeds become somewhat more aggressive when they hold seeds around early autumn, but the Harvesta placed in pots by the sunny window of the game room remained quite docile even with Seraphina and Balor sitting nearby.

“Indeed… it might be almost harvest time.”

“I’m quite looking forward to pumpkin pie.”

Said Sheila. Yes. It had been decided that if the pumpkins bore fruit, Mihaela would make pie for us.

“With pumpkins that size, cooking them might be quite challenging.”

“Shall we divide the cooking among everyone?”

At Irmhild’s words, Grace smiled wryly.

We had expected growth to progress by planting them with Evil Weeds, but they’ve become considerably larger than normal… The remaining question is the taste.

I just hope they don’t turn out bland. I wonder how they’ll be.
