Chapter 120: Displaying Divine Might
Chapter 120: Displaying Divine Might
On the northern battlefield, Kamiyu’s storm-like attacks forcefully repelled the first wave of Aberrant Beast Demons. Within five kilometers of the city gate, all Aberrant Beast Demons had turned into charred, scorched corpses.
Whether the monsters were Level 20 Scorpion Monsters, Level 22 Skeleton Horse Monsters, or Level 25 large Cyclopes, once hit by Kamiyu’s Signature Sniper, they only had one fate: to fall.
The Skill Headshot Strike stacked threefold, and the threefold Recipe Magic Bullet stacked another threefold, resulting in DPS starting at six times the base.
Then, the Arc Splatter Mode of the Thunderstorm Bullet, specialized for wide-area AoE attacks, combined with Armor-Piercing Bullets, dealt damage with a special build.
Originally, there were only five Arcs, but now, with the addition of Armor-Piercing Rounds, firing a single shot generated over thirty Arcs with sixfold damage.
This sixfold damage allowed Kamiyu, who originally could only kill monsters within Level 20, to now kill monsters within Level 30.
Through her Scope, Kamiyu saw the ground littered with Dropped Items, and she practically drooled.
“One wave to get rich, truly one wave to get rich,” Kamiyu said happily and excitedly.
Her mind kept ringing incessantly: Heavenly Father exchange item points rapidly increasing, Experience increasing, Level increasing.
And, most importantly, the key to rebuilding Seriga—the Heavenly Father Altar fragment—a blood-red liquid materialized inside the octagonal prism crystal.
Seeing the red liquid inside the crystal, which occasionally revealed tiny, twisted “Kill Counts,” Kamiyu said, “Is this the hatred of the Aberrant Beast Demons?”
At this moment, the Players defending the northern city were stunned.
“What happened? Were all the Aberrant Beast Demons wiped out?” a new Player asked.
“No way, am I dreaming? Could this be a hallucination before death? Slap me and see,” a Veteran Player said.
Slap!
“Ouch, it’s real, this is real. The Aberrant Beasts have been wiped out.”
“Who is that on the high tower? Could it be a Beta Tester?” the new Player asked.
“Impossible. The Beta Testers are guarding below the city gate, and even if they were Beta Testers, they wouldn’t have this kind of strength,” a Player from a major Squad said.
“Then who is that person up there?”
“Probably some lucky Player who obtained a Dark Gold Weapon. Only a legendary Dark Gold Weapon has the power to turn the tide like this,” a Solo Player nearby attributed Kamiyu’s strength to her Weapon.
“Now’s not the time to talk about this. Stay alert.”
Below the city tower.
In less than two minutes, Kamiyu had wiped out an entire swath of Aberrant Beast Demons, leaving the vanguard Second Line Troops completely unaware of what had happened.
“What happened?”
“It’s the glow of a lightning Skill, shot from the high tower inside the Main City at the rear,” the Deputy Captain said.
“It’s Miss Kamier. Isn’t she a Pharmacist? Why can she use lightning Skills?”
“She’s a Mage. Haven’t you seen her carrying a Mage’s Staff every time?”
“Even if she’s a Mage, this is too exaggerated. There’s no Cooldown Time at all,” one Squad member said.
“Has the Slaughter Echo of the battlefield addled your brain? Back on the training ground, Miss Kamier emitted a platinum glow. Miss Kamier is different,” the Deputy Captain said excitedly.
Upon hearing that familiar gunshot, Jack immediately knew it was Kamiyu who had taken action. And without a doubt, in such a high-pressure situation, the only one daring enough to strike first was Kamiyu.
Earlier, her platinum lightning had illuminated half the sky, each shot vaporizing a large swath of Aberrant Beast Demons.
Seeing that lightning glow filled Jack with immense reassurance, reminding him of memories from past battlefields. With a highly skilled sniper covering them, frontline infantry would charge forward with great courage.
Jack raised his arm and shouted, “Everyone, mount up! Advance the battle line, recycle the spoils of war, and clear the battlefield!”
The first wave of monsters on the northern battlefield had been repelled by Kamiyu. Now it was time for the other three directions.
She immediately holstered her gun and turned to set up her sniper camp facing south.
“Huh, the frontline team is actually fighting quite impressively. They’re splitting the Aberrant Beast Demons, managing aggro, and letting the mages and archers on the city walls unleash their skills,” Kamiyu remarked.
“Hey, don’t take all the kills!” Kamiyu quickly switched to Magic Bullets.
With the entire Main City between them, aiming was difficult, so she prepared to use Curving Bullets. Once locked onto an enemy, these bullets would home in like missiles.
“Load: Curving Bullet; Load: Thunderstorm Bullet (Triple Attributes), Switch Mode: Arc Splash.”
“Fire.”
“Zzzzzzz.”
“Whoosh~”
“Wow, it really is like a missile,” Kamiyu exclaimed as she watched the Curving Bullet make a sharp 90-degree turn, shoot vertically into the sky, streak over the Main City at lightning speed, and instantly reach the head of the locked-on monster.
“Boom!”
A bolt of lightning descended from the heavens like the Hammer of the Thunder God, striking the monster vertically. Upon impact, it produced an additional effect, splitting into five arcs with triple damage, electrocuting the surrounding Aberrant Beast Demons into charred husks.
“Hahahaha, this is fun, so much fun!” Kamiyu laughed. Unlike the straightforward combat on the northern battlefield, using Curving Bullets felt like launching missiles. Now, the high tower had transformed into a land-based missile launch platform capable of firing endlessly.
On the southern battlefield, the frontline team members were initially startled, thinking it was an attack by high-level Aberrant Beast Demons.
Each of them, well-trained, quickly prepared to pull out Anti-Electricity Potions. Some even hastily chugged Health Restoration Potions along with them.
A second later, they realized the lightning strikes from above were targeting the Aberrant Beast Demons.
Each shot landed with pinpoint accuracy, blasting the monsters right on top of their heads.
Li Changde, commanding from his position, shouted, “It’s Miss Kamier’s support! Come on, let’s surround the monsters, hold their aggro, and gather them into a cluster!”
“Miss Kamier? Isn’t she a Pharmacist? Why does she know Lightning Skills, and such powerful ones at that?”
“Stop talking and do as the Guild Leader says!” Debe yelled.
Those on the southern city gate stared with mouths agape, as if watching an incredibly realistic 3D blockbuster.
Every second, a platinum lightning bolt would descend from the sky, blasting the Aberrant Beast Demons on the Crimson Earth into smithereens.
Vertical bolts of lightning flashed downward, striking the heads of the monsters like nails. Each thunderous blast cleared a large swath of Aberrant Beast Demons.
“It feels even more exaggerated than missiles on the battlefield.”
“We’re saved.”
“Is it the Heavenly Father descending?” A “launch day” Veteran Player even fell to his knees in excitement.
