Chapter 188: Meeting

Chapter 188: Meeting

Here, a better Sanctuary could be built, but what limited her was the number of people.

Kamiyu asked, “For those building the Sanctuary, can Normal people do it, or do they need to become Players?”

Mephisto said, “What are you thinking? Normal people don’t even have an Interface Panel to operate with—they’re not Construction Workers. Only the Player Panel has tutorials to teach you how to do it, so the more Players there are, the faster the construction speed.”

“In ancient times, Normal people weren’t even qualified to touch the materials used to build demon palaces. Only those with Special Abilities—what you now call ‘Players’—were qualified to build,” Mephisto said proudly.

“Alright, alright, we know you’re amazing,” Kamiyu said impatiently.

She thought to herself: Normal people can’t do it; only Players can build. That means we’ll have to wait for Li Changde and the others to construct it.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through her mind. “Wait a minute—that Newcomer Player named Xiao Zhong, didn’t he decipher the Black Sphere and gain the ability to turn Normal people into Players?”

“Later, when we rescue more people, we can use the Black Sphere to transform them into Players. That way, besides speeding up the construction of the Sanctuary, we can also convert more Combat Power for ourselves.”

As she thought about it, Kamiyu grew increasingly uneasy.

She asked Mephisto, “Let me ask you something: after the two Worlds collide and the Aberrant Beast Demons from the Crimson Earth invade the Real World, will Players still only be transformed through the Black Sphere? Can’t they be ‘automatically generated’?”

Jack glanced at Kamiyu.

This question was quite profound, touching on the rules of the two Worlds—not something an ordinary person would think to ask.

Mephisto pondered for a long while before finally saying, “Players are products of the Crimson Earth, while Ability Users are products of your World.”

“So, Ability Users aren’t the Fear Emperor’s minions?” Kamiyu was somewhat confused.

“Yes, the Fear Emperor took advantage of this. Ability Users aren’t exclusive to the Fear Emperor; it deceived these people. As for what you call ‘automatically generated,’ only Ability Users can achieve that.”

“When the apocalypse arrives, your World will automatically generate a special type of human called Ability Users.”

“Like the Ability Users you killed, they all advance by performing Blood Sacrifices on their own kind. The Fear Emperor is using this to Revive itself,” Mephisto revealed the truth.

The atmosphere in the vehicle grew extremely heavy.

The thought that behind these Ability Users were hundreds of thousands, even millions, of Living Beings filled Kamiyu with horror and sorrow.

“So, it’s humans themselves who are killing humans. The Aberrant Beast Demons are merely catalysts.”

“This is truly hopeless. This is the real apocalypse,” Kamiyu lamented.

“It’s useless. Even if we kill all the Aberrant Beast Demons, these Ability Users will still perform Blood Sacrifices on humans. They might even enslave all of humanity, reducing humans to livestock,” Jack described humanity’s dark future.

“Exactly. At this rate, billions of humans won’t be enough for their extravagance. These greedy Demons will eventually enslave the remaining humans, forcing them to breed frantically and then slaughtering them just as frantically.”

“They might even genetically modify humans, turning everyone into true livestock.” Kamiyu gasped at the thought.

She clenched her fists—now she had no choice but to eradicate these human viruses, killing every one she encountered, or else humanity would truly be doomed.

A plan gradually formed in Kamiyu’s mind: drive the tiger to devour the wolf. Instead of killing the Aberrant Beast Demons, she would redirect them all toward those so-called Ability Users.

“You killed humans so easily. Let’s see if you can handle Aberrant Beast Demons just as effortlessly. Time for you to taste the flavor of Aberrant Beast Demons.” Kamiyu widened her eyes, tightened her fists, and the plan in her mind grew clearer.

First, she needed to establish a passage between the two realms. And then there was Jing Sen, the Disciple of Suffering, whose contracted beast Shadow could transform into a teleportation magic circle—perfect for deploying Aberrant Beast Demons. She had to create a similar tool or weapon.

The armored Hummer drove toward the apartment where the Black Sphere was located. After witnessing Kamiyu defeat high-tier Ability Users one after another, those Ability Users no longer dared to cause trouble here, so this street now belonged to the Players.

Everyone was downstairs to welcome Kamiyu and Jack’s arrival.

“Guess, do you think that pink-haired little girl is easy to talk to?” one Player asked.

“I still don’t dare speak to her. I’d rather hide. Just now, she turned Hou Ao into a pot of meat soup. Her Skills are even more terrifying than the Ability Users’.”

“Yeah, and she evaporated Bald Tiger with one shot, leaving only his melted limbs behind. She’s like a walking nightmare generator. Just looking at her gives me nightmares.”

“I never expected a pink-haired, cute-looking little kid to be so powerful, with such horrifying Skills. She’s definitely not someone to mess with.”

“Right. Even the Black Armor Warrior is her close-range bodyguard. She must be the Beta Tester those sacrificed Veteran Players mentioned.”

It turned out they weren’t completely clueless about the Crimson Earth. Some Veteran Players had explained to them that within the Crimson Earth, there existed an even more formidable group of experts.

Someone patted Xiao Zhong on the shoulder and said, “We’ve decided—you’ll be our Leader and go talk to that Player named Kamiyu.”

“Me? No, no, I’m just a tech guy. I don’t know how to handle this.” Xiao Zhong shook his head like a rattle-drum.

“Should we send that guy who talks too much nonsense instead?” Everyone turned around, only to find that guy had vanished into thin air.

It seemed he was afraid of being targeted by Kamiyu and becoming one of her Enhancement Points.

“Vroom, vroom”—the sound of exhaust echoed.

“She’s here, she’s here.”

“What kind of car is this? It’s covered in dark scales on the outside.”

“Screech, screech”—the sound of brakes.

Kamiyu was the first to open the car door, tucking her feet together and sliding down from the seat.

There was no helping it—she was just that short, and her feet couldn’t reach the ground directly.

Her adorable appearance contrasted sharply with her terrifying Skills, creating a striking sense of dissonance.

Xiao Zhong, pushed from behind by someone, stumbled forward.

Rubbing the back of his head, unsure of what to say, he awkwardly blurted out, “Haha, Miss Kamiyu, you’re even prettier in person than in the Black Sphere’s livestream.”

Starting with “haha” was a sure sign of awkwardness, but even so, Kamiyu remained unmoved.

“Ahem.” Jack got out of the car and coughed heavily.

“You caught a cold?” Kamiyu turned back and asked, “That’s impossible. Health Restoration Potions can heal most injuries and illnesses, so logically, you shouldn’t catch a cold.”

“Health Restoration Potions? We’re saved,” said a Player wrapped entirely in bandages.

A female Player even knelt down directly, pleading, “Please, Miss Kamiyu, show mercy and give my son a Potion. He has a very high fever.”

Kamiyu glanced around and saw a camp full of wounded soldiers, each wrapped in bandages. One person lay on the ground, breathing weakly, barely clinging to life.

She couldn’t help but murmur, “How tragic.”
