Chapter 203: My Turn to Flex

Chapter 203: My Turn to Flex

With a flick of his wrist, Jack didn’t even raise his sword.

Water-Calling Sword Style, Sever Reality. He sliced Brother Butterfly in two.

“Hey, hey, next time don’t use your Ultimate Skill, leave it for me,” Kamiyu complained from the ground.

“Hehehehe, hahahaha.” The Doombringer let out a laugh.

Jack had indeed held back—he had angled the cut to leave Brother Butterfly with a sliver of life, but Mephisto had deliberately intensified the strike to kill him, absorbing all the Hatred Power from his body.

“Oh, I see, so it was you causing trouble,” Kamiyu realized. Last time too, Mephisto had been secretly influencing Jack.

“Don’t be so stingy, my dear granddaughter. Didn’t that brat Inarius give you a necklace that also absorbed a lot of Hatred Power?” Mephisto seized the chance to change the subject.

At that moment, Kamiyu noticed the Octahedral Crystal. Just as Mephisto had said, the Hatred liquid inside had filled a bit more, bringing her one step closer to being able to activate “Angel Mode.”

Kamiyu raised her eyebrows, her mind racing as she suddenly understood something. “Could it be that Mephisto was subtly reminding me not to focus solely on harvesting Enhancement Points every time? The Hatred Power in the Octahedral Crystal is equally important.”

“Wait, even if I kill them, I can still absorb Hatred Power,” Kamiyu quickly pointed out the flaw in that logic.

“Hehe, it seems my dear granddaughter isn’t a fool after all.”

“I get it now. You just want to take the lion’s share, leaving the remaining Hatred Power for the Octahedral Crystal,” Kamiyu exposed Mephisto’s misleading lie.

So, when Jack killed an Ability User with the Dark Gold Sword, Mephisto could absorb most of the Hatred Power, while Kamiyu’s Octahedral Crystal could also absorb some, though in smaller amounts.

If Kamiyu killed an Ability User herself, she could gain Enhancement Points while the Octahedral Crystal collected Hatred Power. After transformation, she would be able to enter “Angel Mode.”

Jack, understanding these convoluted details, realized he had been used by Mephisto again. “Damn it, this Old Monster is always whispering in my ear.”

He proactively stored the Dark Gold Sword back in his spatial backpack, deciding not to use it unless absolutely necessary.

Jack switched back to the 【Endless Fury Gauntlets】 that Kamiyu had crafted for him.

Returning to the battlefield.

The Bull-Head Warrior Ability User and the Rhino Monster Ability User hadn’t yet recovered from their shock.

The Bull-Head Warrior exclaimed in astonishment, “What just happened? I didn’t see anything, and Butterfly was sliced in half.”

The Rhino Monster widened his squinting eyes and said, “Could it have been done by this bare-chested man?”

“Impossible. We were just overpowering them earlier. How strong could these people be?” The Bull-Head Warrior continued to deny it.

“They’re level 5. These two look a bit stronger, at most level 10. Level 10 trying to kill us Fourth-Tier Ability Users? What a joke.” The Bull-Head Warrior felt like he was dreaming.

“An illusion, it must be an illusion. We’ve fallen under an illusion.”

“Level 10? Are you seriously living in a dream?” Kamiyu said.

“Miss Kamiyu, we’ve reached level 10,” Chu Feng interjected.

“Haha, so that’s how it is. As long as we deal damage, when the enemy is finally killed, all three of us can share the Experience.”

“Leveling from 1 to 10, a total of 27 levels worth of experience—so satisfying.”

“Reporting to Miss Kamiyu, I’ve unlocked a new skill.”

“Me too.”

“My skill cooldown time has shortened.”

The three shouted loudly, deliberately putting pressure on the two Ability Users.

Seeing their enemies grow stronger, the Bull-Head Warrior let out a distorted, unwilling roar: “We are Fourth-Tier Ability Users. Even if you’ve reached level 10, we can still crush you.”

Upon hearing this, Dunzi rumbled, “These Ability Users are just as Miss Jia said—they really seem brainless, outright denying what they just said.”

Ji Yue also covered her mouth, laughing.

Struck where it hurt, the Bull-Head Warrior’s face flushed purple with rising blood pressure as he babbled incoherently: “That, that butterfly died only because it used its skills too much and too powerfully, accidentally suffering a backlash.

As long as we hold back a little, we can still crush you.”

The Rhinoceros Monster also believed the Bull-Head Warrior’s explanation because they hadn’t seen Jack’s skill wind-up. With their walnut-sized brain capacity, they couldn’t conceive of more clues.

It chimed in: “No matter what, I refuse to believe you killed the butterfly. The butterfly itself said it had just advanced to the fourth tier, wasn’t familiar with such powerful energy, and accidentally overloaded itself.”

Kamiyu stared wide-eyed at these two clowns—it was her first time encountering such stubbornly defiant enemies.

Probably the hardest part of their entire bodies was their mouths.

Even with the facts right before their eyes, they could still deny it, no different from those online trolls.

Kamiyu guessed right: most of these Ability Users in the stadium were all talk—online giants, keyboard warriors.

“I truly admire your refusal to admit defeat,” Kamiyu said, pulling the Demon-Repelling Holy Flame from her backpack.

“You said there was no skill wind-up, right?” Kamiyu continued.

Click. The sound of a bullet being chambered.

“See? This is my wind-up. What are you going to do about it?” Jack had finished flexing; now it was Kamiyu’s turn.

“Huh? A shotgun? Am I seeing this right? You’re using that kind of weapon against us?” The Bull-Head Warrior’s eyes widened like copper bells.

“Gahahaha! Back when I was still a First-Tier Ability User, an entire special troops unit opened fire on me, and I wasn’t even scared,” the Rhinoceros Monster boasted, pounding its chest to display its bravery.

Kamiyu snorted lightly. This was exactly the effect she wanted—a powerful Ancestral Legendary Tier staff weapon, disguised with an ordinary M870 shotgun skin.

She wanted to be looked down upon; she wanted to catch them off guard, unprepared.

You think it’s a shotgun, but the Super-Phase Energy Cannon it fires once made Lei Yao and Mephisto scream bloody murder on the Crimson Earth.

Before pulling the trigger, Kamiyu glanced back at Chu Feng: “Watch closely. Next time, your Destructive Death Beam should be fired like this.”

Load: Thunderstorm Bullet; Select Mode: Frenzied Lightning Arrow; Stack: Armor-Piercing Bullet.

After the previous battle where she electrocuted Hou Ao, Kamiyu understood the strength of these Ability Users. She couldn’t even be bothered to use the triple-attribute Magic Bullets now.

Her finger pulled the trigger.

An ordinary version of the Phase Energy Cannon shot from the barrel of the Demon-Repelling Holy Flame, a red-and-white laser beam striking the Bull-Head Warrior directly in the head.

Kamiyu lightly swung her gun barrel, the laser beam directly burning off the Bull-Head Warrior’s head.

“Ding, obtained 16 Enhancement Points.” A crisp sound came from the Interface Panel.
