Chapter 47: Victory’s Final Stop
Chapter 47: Victory's Final Stop
【Number of Players: 2/12】
The announcement on the game Interface Panel officially confirmed Jack’s death.
Kamiyu couldn’t save him in time.
She shouted loudly, “Jack!”
“You promised we’d fight to the end together, then settle things once and for all. Why did you die first?” Kamiyu couldn’t accept this outcome.
Kamiyu thought sadly, Jack, you clearly possessed two major Defense Skills, yet you chose to sacrifice yourself just to save me.
She looked at the Dragon Slayer Sword lying on the ground.
In his final moments, Jack used his Golden Body Skill, aimed in her direction, summoned the Dragon Slayer Sword, and used its blade to cut through the vehicle body pinning her down, allowing her to escape.
“You could have saved yourself,” Kamiyu thought with mixed emotions.
So there really were people in this world who would sacrifice themselves for others, people of noble character.
She angrily pounded the ground, thinking she was still too weak, far too weak.
If she had discovered the flaw in her Armor earlier, she wouldn’t have made the damnable, most wrong decision of getting into that vehicle.
If she had been stronger, able to hold her Ceramic Blade firmly, she wouldn’t have had it knocked from her hand by the fierce artillery fire.
It was all her fault.
Her own fault for being too proud and complacent.
Forgetting that this was a life-and-death game where the slightest mistake could lead to destruction and death.
“Boom!” The wreckage exploded.
Kamiyu didn’t dodge or evade, letting the flames burn away her shame.
Her Health dropped again to a sliver.
Health: 1/300
If she took any more environmental Damage, she would perish completely, meeting her final Death.
Amidst the flames, Kamiyu reflected, letting the fire burn away her weakness.
She would take revenge. Revenge against the authorities who intervened in this game, revenge against Zhong Hao.
She picked up the Dragon Slayer Blade from the ground, stored it in her spatial Storage, then turned, took out and raised her Sniper Rifle, firing a shot at the helicopter in the sky.
“Beep beep beep beep.”
“Boom!” Another helicopter crashed to the ground and exploded.
Kamiyu vanished into the chaos of the crowd.
In the rear, Colonel Hu’s face was darker than charcoal.
Two armed helicopters, down in less than ten minutes, resulting in losses of tens of millions in an instant.
“These Players must be restrained and controlled. How can this go on? They’ll overturn this XX sooner or later,” Colonel Hu said.
The other staff officers, hearing this, sat trembling in their seats, not daring to speak.
“Report the situation to me immediately. Where is Zhong Hao now, and where is that pink-haired one?” Colonel Hu roared, slamming the table.
“Player Zhong Hao is heading toward our location. Additionally, Player Kamiyu has disappeared,” one staff officer reported.
Colonel Hu’s eyes widened instantly. That killing star who shot down a helicopter with one bullet had disappeared?
How could this be allowed?
“The rule of this game is that only one person can survive. Where Zhong Hao is, she will be there.”
“Now that Zhong Hao is coming here, won’t this place become a Battlefield?” Colonel Hu was suddenly alarmed.
Battles between Players usually caused immense Damage, and this game session was already the most intense Black Sphere Game in the past ten months according to official records.
In the official records, the Supernatural Power these 12 Players obtained far exceeded that of previous survivor Players.
Feeling his Life threatened, Colonel Hu slammed the table angrily. “Who told him to come to our command post?”
“No, who told him the command post was here?”
The staff officers present dared not speak, exchanging uneasy glances.
“Oh, I understand. It’s that Xu Liwen. She betrayed the Organization. She wants to ruin me.” Colonel Hu, having navigated the political arena for decades, instantly grasped the intricacies at play.
“I’m leaving first. You all handle this.” Colonel Hu shamelessly, openly fled the battlefield.
This earned him a torrent of silent curses from the staff officers.
Just as Colonel Hu was preparing to have a driver take him away, an armored vehicle came crashing from outside, breaking through checkpoints without regard, driving recklessly toward them.
Colonel Hu was immediately drenched in cold sweat, terrified.
He had no time to receive them, nor did he want to. He was unwilling to stay here a second longer.
Before the driver could finish saluting him, Colonel Hu shoved him aside, got into the driver’s seat himself, and prepared to flee.
Zhong Hao stopped the vehicle, ready to get out and seek refuge.
Before Zhong Hao could even park the armored car properly.
“Whoosh.” The sharp sound of a bullet cutting through the air rang out.
“Bang.” A gunshot echoed.
Then followed the “Boom” of a luxury military-plated SUV exploding.
Kamiyu, nearby, had sent Colonel Hu to his grave with a single shot.
A classic film once said: On the battlefield, never salute a superior officer lightly.
Because if a sniper sees it, the person being saluted is as good as sentenced to death.
Kamiyu was on a killing spree. She didn’t care whether her actions were right or wrong, moral or immoral. In short, whoever was the commander of this intervention operation, she would kill them.
Whoever stood in her way, she would kill them too.
No one could stop her.
And she had to prioritize eliminating this commander first.
To capture the rebels, first capture their leader. Take out the enemy commander, and the entire special forces operation would be paralyzed.
Next was Zhong Hao, with his precognitive ability.
Inside the armored vehicle, Zhong Hao looked around in panic, saying fearfully, “She caught up so quickly?”
“Where is she now?”
If Zhong Hao had seen Kamiyu chasing him in a car, he wouldn’t have been as scared. But now, he couldn’t even see her shadow—it was as if a sharp sword was constantly hanging over his head.
Zhong Hao’s Active Skill had entered a long Cooldown Time. He could now only rely on his vague Passive Skill to sense danger.
With no other options, Zhong Hao stomped on the accelerator in terror, fleeing in disarray.
A hidden arrow wounds its target? That was a compliment to Kamiyu.
It was her favorite Playstyle: hide and kill with one shot.
Kamiyu checked the time. Forty-seven hours left.
Forty-seven hours were enough for her to toy with Zhong Hao.
Kamiyu could now play a game of cat and mouse.
Kamiyu, determined to kill Zhong Hao, could not be stopped by anyone, even if other Official Players showed up.
She declared she would kill one if one came, and kill both if two came.
Outside Dragon Roar City, at the highway toll station entrance and exit.
An Official Player with brown hair stopped and got out of his car.
He stood on the roof of his car, gazing toward the city. He had received a text message.
After quickly reading it, he immediately deleted it and crushed the phone.
Then he turned around, got back in the car, and headed back the way he came.
His assistant asked, “Officer Zhu Hong, headquarters ordered us to go to Dragon Roar City for support. You are now defying the official command.”
“No need to go. The game is over.” Zhu Hong tapped his fingers on the steering wheel.
Back on the battlefield.
Kamiyu watched the roaring armored vehicle speeding away.
She coldly muttered to herself, “Activate skill, 【Headshot Strike】.”
After locking onto the enemy, every shot would be a headshot within 5 seconds, with damage increased by 300%.
“Bang.” A common bullet.
Sensing the lethal danger, Zhong Hao bit his lip and desperately used his ultimate skill, consuming 10 years of his lifespan to forcibly reverse the future.
“Let’s see how many bullets you have.”
Kamiyu fired again.
“Bang, bang, bang, bang.”
She deliberately fired one shot per second.
Let’s see what else Zhong Hao had up his sleeve.
She refused to believe that Zhong Hao could use such an ultimate skill without limitations.
The armored vehicle continued moving forward, though much slower, eventually crashing into a wall and coming to a stop.
Lifespan -50 years.
Inside the vehicle, Zhong Hao had turned into a frail old man. The intense shock caused the elderly Zhong Hao to burst a blood vessel and fall into a coma.
Kamiyu had gambled correctly—such an ultimate skill that forcibly altered the effect of another skill must come at a tremendous cost.
Now, she said in a low voice, “Load, Magic Bullet, Delayed Implosion Bullet, mode: instant.”
“Bang, bang, bang, bang.” She fired a four-shot burst in quick succession, emptying all her Magic Bullets.
Releasing the fury in her heart.
With a “boom.”
【Player count: 1/12】
Kamiyu let out a heavy sigh through her nose. She had won. As long as she had her gun in hand, she would never lose.
