Chapter 52: Crafting Armor

Chapter 52: Crafting Armor

It turned out that in this Deathmatch Game, the Black Sphere did not randomly assign Talents to the twelve Players including Kamiyu.

Kamiyu, having grown up small and frail in an Orphanage, had always been timid and cowardly by nature.

If not for a mouse and a game, she would have long been reduced to a slave laborer in some sweatshop.

After working hard for a year only to be denied her wages, with no hope of recovering them, her cowardly self would have jumped into a river to end it all.

Thus, the Black Sphere transformed him into her—someone who yearned to be loved, to be noticed, to receive unconditional care without having to take action herself.

So she was granted the Enhancement Talent, desiring to grow stronger, to make her body powerful, and to fortify her inner self.

No longer afraid of being bullied, whenever she faced injustice or mistreatment, she would strike back with heavy blows, fiercely retaliating and eliminating those who wronged her.

She kept her word—Huang Kun, his two Underlings, and even the official Commander.

All those who brought misfortune upon her, she would crush them.

On the other side.

Jack, haunted by a lifelong regret of failing to protect his younger sister in the past, was understood by the Black Sphere, which sensed his inner longing.

He was granted the Talent to protect others—Steel Great Wall—using his Supernatural Ability to guard others while also protecting himself.

Jack, too, kept his word. In this Black Sphere Game, he repeatedly stepped in to rescue Kamiyu.

Not only because she resembled his sister, but also because she stirred his desire for challenge.

As for the others, they each had their own stories, which need not be detailed here.

Returning to the present.

Jack, weeping bitterly, embraced his “sister,” though this person was actually Kamiyu. Jack’s experiences in the Dream Illusion World had left him momentarily unable to distinguish between Reality and illusion.

“Ah!”

Kamiyu pushed Jack away and slapped him, shouting loudly, “Pervert!”

“What are you doing? You pervert without clothes on!”

Jack noticed that his “sister’s” voice sounded different, and Winnie would never speak to him like this.

So Jack took a closer look at the girl before him.

“Pink hair?”

“You’re Kamiyu?” Jack swallowed hard, saying in surprise.

“What are you swallowing for? Why are you still holding onto me?” Mistaking Jack for a Pervert, Kamiyu slapped him again.

After taking the slap, Jack quickly released Kamiyu completely and retreated to the wall.

With his formidable muscles and his profession as a Barbarian Warrior, controlling Kamiyu was effortless for him. Earlier, Kamiyu had only managed to push him away slightly.

“Of course I’m me. Did you hit your head, or is there something wrong with the Black Sphere’s Revive?”

【Black Sphere: Absolutely not.】

Jack looked around and realized he was in the previous Black Sphere Room. Hearing Kamiyu’s words, he asked in surprise, “I’ve been revived? What about the others?”

“Dead beyond revival,” Kamiyu replied irritably.

This guy really had something wrong with his head—first crying and hugging her, then asking about the others.

Jack blinked and said, “You revived me?”

Kamiyu snorted and didn’t answer.

She refused to tell Jack that she had chosen to give up 100 Enhancement Points to revive him.

Kamiyu thought to herself that she truly didn’t care about those 100 Enhancement Points—she genuinely wanted to revive Jack. When she made the choice, there wasn’t a hint of hesitation.

She dismissed the slight fondness she had begun to feel for Jack in her heart.

Jack was her benefactor, having saved her so many times. What was wrong with reviving him?

Besides, she wasn’t the type to boast about it everywhere.

This was just repaying a favor—nothing more. Don’t overthink it, and don’t entertain any other thoughts. Kamiyu’s face flushed red.

“Why is your face red? Are you hot?” Jack asked.

“Hot? Hot your dead person head!” Kamiyu flusteredly turned her face away, not daring to look directly at Jack.

“Hurry up and put on some clothes.”

“Since entering the game, I haven’t seen you wear clothes from start to finish. I don’t even know if you’re some kind of perverted exhibitionist who doesn’t like wearing clothes.” Kamiyu said disdainfully, waving her hand.

That’s right. From the moment Jack crashed the helicopter into the building, he hadn’t worn any clothes. It was the same during his decisive battle with Bai Zhan and when he was chasing Zhong Hao—no clothes.

“My clothes were burned. I don’t have any right now,” Jack explained.

Kamiyu wanted to toss a few pieces of clothing to him from her Storage, but she discovered that among the 20 or so pieces of equipment, all were weapons. As for armor, there was only the False Death Garment she was wearing and the Ancestral Spirit’s Blessing.

“I don’t have any spare armor. Use the curtains,” Kamiyu said casually.

“Curtains?”

“What else are you thinking? Want to wear the one I have on? You wish,” Kamiyu said disdainfully, shrinking closer to the Black Sphere.

Jack also felt too embarrassed to ask Kamiyu for the armor he had given her back.

So, Jack snorted through his nose, stood up, and tried to tear down the curtains, only to find they wouldn’t budge no matter how hard he pulled, as if welded to the curtain rod.

“The items here must be locked.”

Kamiyu thought for a moment. Now that she was officially wanted, walking down the street with this naked, perverted muscle man would be like telling the authorities, “I’m here, I’m here, come and catch me.”

“Wait a minute, didn’t I receive the reward from the Golden Treasure Chest and obtain the Construction Sage Talent? With materials, I can craft weapons, equipment, and items, right?” Kamiyu only now remembered.

She had received a lot of information earlier and hadn’t fully processed it.

“This is perfect. Crafting a piece of armor can test my new Talent.”

Kamiyu opened the Exclusive Panel for the Construction Sage Talent and clicked on Armor Crafting.

Rows of armor for various body parts and different Tiers were displayed.

Kamiyu scrolled through the various armor pieces, inspecting their attributes one by one.

“Wow, the attributes are triple those of other armor of the same Level.”

“Wow, Common Tier can be used like Legendary Tier, and Legendary Tier can be used like half of Dark Gold Tier.”

“Triple attributes as soon as it’s crafted—no wonder it’s the next stage of the Enhancement Talent.”

Looking at these pieces of equipment, Kamiyu first suppressed her excitement and carefully considered what to craft.

Jack’s Defense Power was already overpowered. What he lacked wasn’t Defense Power but armor that could protect him from environmental damage.

Equipment with All-Attribute Resistance consumed too many materials. Since he was burned to death, she decided to craft a piece of armor with Fire Resistance.

“Hmm, this one looks good. I’ve decided—it’s you.”

Kamiyu clicked to craft, consuming 50 pieces of Leather Armor, 30 blocks of Iron Ore, and 10 portions of Arcane Dust. A blue-white light flashed, and a silver-black iron-reinforced leather pants appeared on the ground.

【Item Name: Suppressing Cold Iron Leggings】

【Equipment Slot: Pants】

【Item Tier: Common Tier】

【Item Attributes: Defense Power +600 (200-600), Fire Resistance +80% (10%-80%)】

“Wow, it’s actually a Max Roll item. This is amazing,” Kamiyu exclaimed, her eyes wide open.

The so-called Max Roll refers to the random fluctuation of attribute values within a numerical range after crafting or dropping an item.

“And this is just a Common Tier item, with no Affixes, no Skills, yet it’s this powerful?” she said in pleasant surprise.
