Chapter 69: Total Annihilation

Chapter 69: Total Annihilation

“Bang, bang, bang, bang.” Kamiyu fired the remaining four shots, one bullet each, blasting the official players who had their backs turned to her into two halves.

She had developed a twisted sense of amusement—she deliberately avoided headshots, aiming for the torso instead, splitting the enemies’ bodies in two. The remaining official players were so terrified they couldn’t even run, trembling on the spot.

The game interface panel kept chiming incessantly.

“Ding, obtained 1 Enhancement Point.” *5.

The gunfire ceased. Seeing Kamiyu reloading, the leader, Captain Qian, shouted repeatedly, “Don’t run! If we keep running, we’ll all die!”

“Let’s call for backup, have the main troops come over,” another person suggested.

Captain Qian cursed this idiot inwardly—why say it out loud?

Nowadays, the authorities really accept any trash, and the quality of official players keeps getting worse.

“The main troops would probably just feed kills to Kamiyu. Only General Lei Yao could handle her,” another person chimed in.

“But Officer Lei Yao is still inside an Instance Dungeon and won’t be out anytime soon.”

Captain Qian felt his head swell with frustration—why say that? Even if Lei Yao was in an Instance Dungeon, they could have claimed he was coming soon. Are these people brain-dead?

These guys might as well die sooner rather than later.

Kamiyu blinked, memorizing the name Lei Yao. She wondered if this person had enough strength to rival her.

Left with no choice, Captain Qian shouted loudly, “Brothers, charge together! In the Black Sphere Game, she’s only killed inexperienced ordinary people.”

“We’re battle-hardened veterans. Let’s unleash our Skills together and overwhelm her with Skills.”

“Look, she’s hiding behind the Black-Scaled Water Snake’s corpse, not daring to flee. That proves she’s too scared to move.”

Kamiyu quickly shifted a small step, repositioning herself to exploit the Invincibility Window of Ancestral Spirit’s Blessing.

Archer Captain Qian unleashed his Ultimate Skill—a massive spiral arrow materialized before him, stirring up a fierce gust of wind around him.

The others followed suit, releasing their Skills.

In an instant, red fireballs and yellow earth spikes all attacked Kamiyu.

The remaining official players—one Rogue-class and one Warrior-class—charged forward, intending to engage her in close-range combat.

“Such a long Wind-up time,” Kamiyu snorted.

She had thought their attacks would be more formidable, worrying that her two-second preparation time wouldn’t be enough and she’d have to rely on her Armor to tank the hits.

But with casting times exceeding five seconds, Kamiyu had ample Invincibility Window.

Her Magazine was already reloaded. These five were nothing but fish on the chopping block to her.

She feared none of these Skills, but the next moment brought something she hadn’t expected.

That leader, Captain Qian—the one who had been the most arrogant and boastful—actually betrayed his teammates.

He was the first to finish casting his Skill and the first to turn and flee.

Even his teammates were stunned.

“Captain Qian, what are you doing?”

“You’re actually fleeing?”

“Damn it, you’re selling out your brothers?”

A wicked thought crossed Kamiyu’s mind. She aimed at Captain Qian’s lower body.

“Bang.” A shot rang out.

“Thud.”

The bullet completely depleted the Durability of Captain Qian’s Armor, weakening its power. But what followed was even more horrifying—the weakened bullet still shattered Captain Qian’s lower body, injuring but not killing him, leaving him writhing on the ground in agonizing pain.

It was like being cut in half at the waist—he wouldn’t die immediately.

“Holy shit.”

“Ugh, blech.”

The remaining four official players turned pale.

Before those people could continue their disgusting behavior.

“Is turning your back to the enemy on the battlefield a common habit among you official players?” Kamiyu loudly mocked.

“How are you unharmed?”

“I’m a level 12 Mage! My ultimate skill is more than enough to finish off a newbie like you. Why are you unharmed?”

“It’s armor. She’s wearing Bai Zhan’s armor,” another player, slightly smarter, realized.

“You still have some clever ones. But even if you guessed right, there’s no reward. Out of great mercy, I can reward you with a bullet,” Kamiyu laughed.

A gunshot rang out.

“Boom.” This person was directly headshot by Kamiyu, dead beyond dead.

The beautiful “ding ding” sound rang out again.

“Ding, obtained 1 Enhancement Point.”

Kamiyu liked clever people but also hated them.

She liked cooperating with clever people but hated clever people being her enemies.

So she took out the clever enemies first. The remaining ragtag bunch wouldn’t be so hard to deal with.

“So what if you’re level 12? I’m not afraid to tell you, I’m not some level 1 or 2 newbie. I am…”

The three remaining standing people all looked nervous.

“Guess what level I am?” Kamiyu suddenly changed the subject, just playing around, refusing to tell them.

Let them go to hell with questions, carrying a knot in their hearts until death.

“Bang, bang, bang.” Kamiyu fired three shots in succession.

Three official players were instantly blasted into blood mist by the high-powered bullets.

“Ding, obtained 1 Enhancement Point.” *3.

“Refreshing,” Kamiyu let out a breath.

This is how it should be fought—pressing down on them, one shot each.

With a Legendary Tier Sniper Rifle, Kamiyu had almost pierced through Xu Liwen’s Common Armor with one shot in the Black Sphere Game.

Now that she had leveled up to 10, her Attack Power had already doubled.

Blasting through Common Armor with one shot was easier than drinking water or lighting a cigarette.

She still hadn’t even used Headshot Strike, the skill that triples damage.

Why?

It was related to how she had wounded but not killed Captain Qian earlier.

In reality, there’s a very disgusting tactical playstyle, very suitable for snipers.

It involves wounding but not killing the enemy, letting them suffer and cry out for their teammates’ rescue.

As long as someone comes up to rescue the downed, wounded enemy, the sniper can continue firing, shooting the rescuer.

Like this, it snowballs, and in the end, you can take out over a dozen people.

You can’t rescue them, but you also can’t not rescue them.

It’s a once sinister, ruthless strategy on the battlefield.

Kamiyu is now replicating that real-world playstyle.

The surroundings were filled with thick fog. She couldn’t be sure only these ten had come to track her, or if experts were hiding in the fog.

Waiting for her to let her guard down, then delivering a lethal strike.

So Kamiyu became a bit more patient, continuing to time the invincibility window of Ancestral Spirit’s Blessing, keeping herself in a 10-second invincibility window every 2 seconds.

Archer Captain Qian groaned in pain on the ground, nearly unconscious.

Still, no one came to rescue him.

Kamiyu thought to herself, official players aren’t a disciplined army; they’re just a mob, a scattered mess.

From their initial fleeing, she knew they often betrayed teammates, not just once or twice, hence their proficiency.

Or perhaps the others hiding in the thick fog had already been scared off and fled long ago.

So, Kamiyu checked that the cooldown for the Ancestral Death Shroud’s Stealth skill was long enough, then stood up.

Pretending to clean up the battlefield, she gave the Archer Captain a finishing shot.
