Chapter 461 – Revealed

Chapter 461 – Revealed

Two seconds before Punk flew into the air to release his spell formation, inside Sorsend’s hiding formation.

The Magical Raven Vector was panting heavily with its tongue out, clearly showing that the prolonged use of “Directional Interference” to lock onto Kane had taken a significant toll on this “practice work of a Legendary Mage.” Not only did Vector appear noticeably wilted now, but even the azure feathers on its wings had lost some of their luster.

“Caw caw… really… really exhausted. My virtual soul’s output has limits too. Continuous spellcasting is so tiring. I wish I could lie down on a soft velvet bed and sleep properly. I remember when I was first created, I was lying on a velvet blanket… caw caw.”

“Vector! This is no time to rest! When that Demon Sub-Lord’s Projection giant claw strikes again, you’ll still need to help me deflect the energy. This formation alone can’t withstand that monster’s slap. Are you even listening to me?”

Although Vector had begun complaining loudly due to exhaustion, the equally weakened Sorsend had no choice but to sternly urge his Magic Raven to stay focused.

As Sorsend had stated, his small formation lacked any defensive measures. To avoid detection by the Demon Sub-Lord’s Projection, Sorsend had inscribed almost exclusively concealment runes at the formation’s core.

According to Sorsend’s original plan, with the Magical Raven Vector at his disposal, he could rely entirely on the power of the Legendary-level spell “Directional Interference” to ignore any low-level attacks lacking rule-based power. As long as they weren’t directly targeted by the Demon Sub-Lord’s Projection, minor combat aftermath would be inconsequential.

However, he hadn’t anticipated that Kane and Punk’s storm-like assault would cause Vector to expend much of its energy prematurely. Now, before the Sub-Lord’s Projection giant claw had even struck many times, the Magical Raven Vector’s mana was already beginning to falter.

At this moment, although confidence was gradually draining from his heart…

Sorsend glared viciously at the Demon Sub-Lord’s Projection giant claw wreathed in terrifying Abyssal energy, then sensed the dwindling mana within his body… Finally, with eyes beginning to redden, Sorsend could only yank Vector off his shoulder and roar:

“Listen, my old friend! I know you were discarded by a Legendary Expert must be because you have countless irredeemable flaws and problems! But right now, we must survive this ordeal! Do you understand?”

The contorted-faced Sorsend practically shrieked hysterically at Vector while tremblingly pointing a finger toward the Demon Sub-Lord’s Projection. Then, his voice and tone once again became saturated with madness and chaos.

“Look at that monster! Do you want to be smashed into pulp by it? Then mixed with a pile of sand? Or dragged into the Abyss to be devoured? Do you? Huh? If not, then put in more effort! You’re a magical creation of a Legendary power! You must still be able to cast spells! Tell me quickly you can still hold on!”Unconsciously, Sorsend’s grip on Vector had tightened to the point where his knuckles creaked audibly. The boiling abyssal energy once again drove this sinister old man into a frenzied state. In such hysterical condition, Sorsend naturally failed to notice the pale cyan energy dust slowly drifting down from the sky.

“Caw, caw-caw! Turn around and look at the sky, Boss! Big trouble – we’re all in big trouble! If you keep raging, we’re really done for, caw-caw!”

Watching Sorsend descend into madness again, the Magic Raven being held by the mage desperately stabbed a potion it had been clutching in its claws into Sorsend’s wrist.

Though Vector was deeply dissatisfied with his frequently enraged master at this moment, he now needed to snap Sorsend back to consciousness immediately.

As a creature with some understanding of magic, Vector knew perfectly well what it would mean if the protective formation concealing him and Sorsend were destroyed. After all, they were currently closest to the Demon Sub-Lord’s Projection. If suddenly exposed to the projection’s perception…

They’d be finished!

Therefore, Vector didn’t even bother trying to break free from Sorsend’s grasp, almost without hesitation preparing to use “Directional Interference” to deflect Punk’s spellcasting…

But just as Vector’s spell was nearing completion, Sorsend’s blood-stained fingers suddenly clamped down hard on the Magic Raven’s head, while his now-lucid voice exploded beside Vector’s ear:

“You fool! Forget that mage! The Demon Sub-Lord’s Projected Claw is about to strike! Do you think these old bones of mine can withstand that thing?!It turned out that at the final moment, the disoriented Sorsend had horrifyingly gouged out his own eye to use the pain to restore his sanity. Then… nearly spitting blood in frustration, he immediately recognized Vector’s spell target!

It must be said that Vector ultimately remained a magical construct lacking improvisational ability, especially during lethal crises. Its adaptability couldn’t compare to veteran spellcasters like Sorsend.

Only after Sorsend’s warning did the Magic Raven, which had been operating on conditioned reflexes, suddenly remember – right behind them, the descending Demon Sub-Lord’s Projected Claw was already approaching the formation boundary.

“Caw-caw, what was I thinking? Could it be that my head was really made from potato ingredients? Caw-caw!”

Screeching as if waking from a dream, the panicked Vector hastily redirected the “Directional Interference” target at the last critical moment…

Though slightly delayed, thanks to Sorsend’s reminder, Vector’s spell fortunately managed to connect in time.

In the very next instant after Vector’s successful spell release, deafening roars suddenly filled the entire sky.Amidst the pale cyan dust that drifted down as if unaffected, amidst a sudden multicolored halo enveloping the sky above the magic circle, amidst Kane’s curses and Ovakain’s roars… the terrifying crimson dust mushroom cloud once again rose slowly over the Raging Wave Desert, while a tsunami-like shockwave wreaked havoc once more upon this long-suffering desert………

The Demon Sub-Lord’s Projected Claw descended as promised, but, as expected, this time the claw strike held far more significance for Punk than the previous one.

Even though Punk was nearly sent flying directly by the rushing shockwave this time, a faint smile could clearly be seen curling at the corners of his lips on his delicate face.

The reason for Punk’s joy was simple… because, although Sorsend had once again withstood the Demon Sub-Lord’s Projected Claw strike thanks to Vector’s “Directional Interference,” Punk’s spells had taken full advantage of the opportunity to spread unimpeded across the entire battlefield.

Now, gathered by the pale cyan dust, Sorsend’s magic circle location stood out like a lighthouse in the dead silence of the battlefield!
