One thug scrambled up, grabbed a wooden rod, and swung it fiercely at Ye Yunxi.

She was only sixteen. Though her body had developed, she still appeared delicate and petite compared to a grown man. Anyone would think that one strike from that rod would leave Ye Yunxi bleeding from the head and completely defenseless!

But in the blink of an eye, instead of dodging, Ye Yunxi charged forward. Her small fist met the rod head-on—crack!—splintering the wood, then slammed into the thug’s face, sending him flying backward.

“Pfft…”

The thug spat out blood, collapsed to the ground, twitched once, and fell still.

Wasn’t that terrifying?

The rod broke, yet she remained unharmed and even knocked the guy unconscious…

How could she be so fierce?!

After a series of notifications, Ye Yunxi turned around indifferently, looking down at Zhuang Ge with a cold gaze.

Her pitch-black eyes held no emotion, icy and somber. Her crimson lips pressed into a stern line, making Zhuang Ge tremble with fear.

He no longer dared to demand repayment. Scrambling to his feet, he tried to flee, but Ye Yunxi blocked the doorway with one leg. Her dark eyes swept coolly over the shivering thugs, and a brilliant curve formed on her red lips.

“Trying to leave?”

Zhuang Ge was going insane. They couldn’t win in a fight, and now she wouldn’t let them go?

“W-what else do you want?”

Ye Yunxi tilted her chin toward the window. “Pay for my family’s broken glass.”

Zhuang Ge used his uninjured hand to pull out two hundred bucks and tossed it on the ground, but Ye Yunxi still didn’t lower her leg.

“What else?!” Zhuang Ge nearly growled through gritted teeth.

“You hit my dad and my brother. Medical expenses.”

Zhuang Ge clenched his jaw. In his entire life of collecting debts, this was the first time he hadn’t gotten any money and was instead robbed!

Bullshit!

But he was no match for Ye Yunxi, so he could only pull out all the cash from his wallet and snap, “That’s all! Look carefully, I don’t have a single cent left!”

Yet, Ye Yunxi’s leg remained in place. She smiled faintly. “And mine—compensation for emotional distress!”

Zhuang Ge was on the verge of losing his mind, driven mad with rage.

“I’m out of money!”

“Your buddies still have some.”

Hearing this, the thugs hurriedly emptied their pockets. Only when they confirmed they had nothing left did Ye Yunxi finally lower her leg.

But Zhuang Ge hesitated, too afraid to leave.

He cautiously watched Ye Yunxi as he slowly inched his way out.

As he passed by her side, Ye Yunxi cast him an indifferent glance that sent chills down his spine.

Then, she lifted her head and chuckled lightly. “I don’t care who sent you. Tell the person who set my dad up that as long as I’m here, don’t even think about targeting the Ye Family. Because…”

The girl smirked, her expression bold and confident, her long hair flowing in the wind.

“I’ll protect this family no matter what!”
