“From today until the weather settles down, we’ll be camping in this side cave. Marie, after putting up the barrier, handle the usual preparations, alright?”
“Sure thing~”
Today, while scouting the route for safety, Fernet found a gorgeous flower meadow and picked a ton of flowers for us.
So the inside of the barrier smells amazing.
Living surrounded by flowers really does soothe the soul, doesn’t it?
“You put some flowers in my room too?”
“Hehe, Gain’s room has extra.”
“Hmph.”
He looks pleased in spite of himself.
Fernet chuckles. “He’s such a shy guy~”
“By the way, is there a Saintess pilgrimage going on? There were Holy Knights swarming everywhere, even off the usual route.”
“Saintess pilgrimage?”
What’s that?
I can’t help reacting to the word “Saintess.”
“The Saintess goes around healing places far and wide. Though since we can’t reach anyone right now, it might be something else.”
“Huh. Sounds like the Saintess has a tough job.”
Hmm. So being a Saintess means doing stuff like that too.
“To avoid the hassle of getting involved, we’ll probably change up the descent route a bit.”
“Thank you for your consideration.”
“Heh. For you, Marie, it’s no trouble at all.”
He’s in an unusually good mood.
Did the hunt go really well or something?
That aside, it sure is cold up near the summit…
Master hates the cold, so let’s crank up the barrier’s heating spell a notch…

Perfect—nice and toasty now.
“Your climate control barrier tweaks are spot-on, lass.”
“Ehehe. It’s all thanks to Master’s training—I can handle my magic power with such finesse now.”
“I see, I see.”
Master squints his eyes happily.
“Yeah. Back then, I had no clue what it was all for and thought it was just harassment. Tehe.”
“Hou.”
Huh, I swear I feel killing intent radiating from Master.
“N-No, that’s not what I meant! Uh? I’ll go prep the bath~!”
Best to bail in situations like this.
I let my honest thoughts slip… tehe.
Hehe. Every day is so much fun. The world really opened up after I left home.
But once we cross this mountain, the capital’s right there.
Gazing at the hot water flowing from my hand, I reminisce about the days gone by.
Ah, it’s overflowing.
“Alright, I’ll head in for my bath first, so dinner’s all yours~”
““Got it!”“
Pfft. I kinda want to gift them matching aprons.
They’ve even gotten fancy with desserts for my sake, and I swear everyone’s cooking skills have leveled up.
“Until the weather calms” probably means a longer stay.
I’ll fancy up my private room later.
Lately, they’ve even been giving me dance lessons—I’m truly spoiled.
It’s fun taking turns dancing with everyone, but they always end by twirling tiny me around, so it’s a bit of a mixed bag.
They need the breather too, and if they’re enjoying it, that’s fine by me.
