Chapter 70: Gratitude for a Life
Chapter 70: Gratitude for a Life
Original: Chapter 70: Gratitude for a Life
The Dungeon was already bustling with many students.
Some were chatting and laughing boisterously, others were eating, and some were checking Quests. Everyone seemed to be having fun, radiating more energy than they usually did at school. I was overflowing with energy too. Coming to the Dungeon just gets me pumped up no matter what.
“Well then, Little Sayuki, shall we take care of what needs to be done first?”
“What needs to be done… was there something?”
“Yep, there is. Here, this.”
Senior Shirogane placed an Empty Bottle on the palms of her hands. Then she offered it to me.
“Thank you so much for helping me yesterday. If you hadn’t saved me, Little Sayuki, I would have absolutely died. I feel like I owe you a lifelong debt.”
This is my bottle that had the Potion in it. I handed it over to Senior Shirogane when she was suffering from Near-Death injuries, and it just stayed with her.
I really wanted it back right away, but I got attacked by a Killer Hornet and the System Message was being a bit of a jerk, so…
“Th-thank you.”
Now, a day later, the Empty Bottle has finally returned to my hands. What a relief.
“And about the cost of the Potion you let me drink. Is Pon okay? Or would you prefer cash?”
“Huh? I don’t need money. That Potion was a gift for you, Senior Shirogane.”
“Listen, Little Sayuki. This is important, so let me say this as your senior. That kind of thing isn’t really good inside the Dungeon, you know? It’s better to properly accept what you can get. It happens all the time that the person you were kind to ends up repaying kindness with enmity—”
“Yes, I’ve already heard about that from another senior… But for yesterday’s part, it’s really okay.”
“I’ll pay 100,000 Pon?”
“No, thank you.”
“200,000 Pon?”
“I wouldn’t take it even for 1,000,000 Pon. I don’t want to exchange money with you, Senior Shirogane. Of course, I’ll take money properly from people I don’t like.”
“Hmm, well, forcing you would be strange too. Then, I’ll repay the favor in a different way, is that okay?”
“That’s also really not necessary, but…”
“No can do. It’s a debt for my life. I’m going to do all sorts of things for you, Little Sayuki, to the very end.”
“All sorts of things? Like what?”
“Something like this is fine too, you know?”
She popped open the top two buttons of her Blouse with a pochi pochi sound and let me peek inside.
“Fwooooooooooh! Paradise is spreading out before me!”
“Ahahaha, that’s such a boyish reaction.”
They were bigger than mine. They were really, truly much bigger than mine. The valley between them was like, how should I say, it made you want to stick a finger or something in there.
Senior Shirogane was born with this appearance and this breast size… Heaven gave her two gifts. It’s amazing.
“Little Sayuki, you know… I had decided to dedicate my everything to the first person who took this from me.”
Senior Shirogane placed her index finger on her glossy, trembling lips. In other words, it seems she intended to dedicate her everything to the person she shared her first kiss with. And that person is me.
“So take all of me. My cool Prince♪”
“W-would someone like me really be okay as a Prince?”
“It’s fine because it’s you, Little Sayuki~. It was passionate and the best, after all. There probably aren’t that many people in Japan who could have such a wonderful first kiss. You stole my heart in one go.”
Her eyes were those of a maiden in love. I think they were eyes more lovely and radiant than anyone else’s, capable of captivating every male high school student in Japan.
Even though I’m not a boy, my heart is pounding like crazy.
“Y-you’re too cute…”
“That’s you, Little Sayuki.”
“Senior Shirogane, aren’t you praising me too much…?”
“But you really are cute, Little Sayuki. Also, I’d like you to call me Himeka. We’re not strangers anymore, right? After all, we’re in a relationship where our lips passionately overlapped.”
“S-Senior Himeka.”
“Let’s ban ‘senior’ too, shall we?”
“Miss Himeka.”
“‘Miss’ is also a no-go.”
“Th-that’s going a bit too far, surely…”
“Try calling me that for now.”
“Little Himeka…”
“Yeah, that’s the best~. Dropping the honorific would be even better, though.”
“No, no, no, it would be weird for me to use ‘little’ or drop the honorific. I’d prefer to stick with Miss Himeka.”
“Well~, I guess that can’t be helped~. Once you get used to it, call me by my name coolly, with a handsome face.”
“Ehh?!”
“So, shall we head out for the Quest soon? Or do you need to prepare something?”
Miss Himeka elegantly swayed her hair and skirt as she started walking ahead. Even though she had only taken a few steps, everyone nearby turned to look back at her.
Is it really okay for me to be with someone this beautiful? It feels like I’m out of my league.
Somehow, I had a feeling today was going to be a tough day.
