Chapter 26 – Mad Slaughter

Chapter 26 – Mad Slaughter

Soon, Xiao Wuwang spotted a Zombie with a robust build and relatively fast movement.

“Bang!”

Xiao Wuwang decisively pulled the trigger. The bullet whistled through the air, striking the Zombie’s head with precision. Instantly, a burst of dark green fluid splattered out, and the creature slowly crumpled to the ground.

Xiao Wuwang glanced at his Points, which had indeed increased by 2.

This confirmed that the Zombie he had just slain was Level 2—a Brute!

Even a Brute, with its strong defenses, was instantly killed when the QBU-191 Precision Rifle (Modified) hit its Weak Point.

Brures were Level 2 strength-type Zombies. There was another type of Level 2 Zombie, the speed-type, with the Designation Crawler.

Where there were Brures, there were bound to be Crawlers as well.

Xiao Wuwang seemed to sense something and immediately swung his rifle toward a row of rooftops nearby.

Sure enough, he saw three dark figures moving swiftly on all fours, leaping and bounding across the rooftops at incredible speed, rapidly closing in on him.

All three were Crawlers!

Xiao Wuwang’s eyes sharpened abruptly, instantly focusing all his attention on the three ghostly Crawlers charging toward him.

Years of combat experience allowed him to quickly assess the situation: he absolutely could not let these three Crawlers get close, or he would be overwhelmed.

If that happened, he would be forced to maneuver within the town, significantly slowing down his rate of earning Points.

He firmly gripped the QBU-191 Precision Rifle (Modified) with both hands, his index finger resting lightly on the trigger. Leaning slightly forward, he peered through the scope, where the movements of the three Crawlers were magnified, every subtle shift clearly visible.

But Xiao Wuwang did not fire immediately. He was waiting for the perfect opportunity for a one-shot kill!

The Crawler on the far left was the first to present an opening.

It pushed off forcefully with all four limbs, launching itself high into the air, aiming to land on a relatively distant rooftop.

With its entire body suspended mid-air and no means to change trajectory, it gave Xiao Wuwang his chance.

“Bang!”

“Bang!”

Fearing the first shot might miss, Xiao Wuwang followed up with a second.

The result did not disappoint—both bullets struck the Crawler’s head with precision.

Without sparing another glance for that Crawler, Xiao Wuwang turned his attention to the next one, which also presented an opportunity.

“Bang! Bang!”

Two more shots rang out. One missed the vital spot slightly, but the second did not let him down, piercing straight through the Crawler’s skull.

Only one Crawler remained, making things much simpler.

However, by now, that Crawler had already reached the vicinity of the small building.

Xiao Wuwang stood up and quickly retreated.

Just then, the light suddenly dimmed.

Xiao Wuwang knew the Crawler had leaped toward him.

“Bang, bang, bang…”

Reacting swiftly, Xiao Wuwang kept the rifle’s trigger depressed, unleashing a barrage of dozens of rounds that formed a dense web of fire.

Though agile, the Crawler struggled to evade such concentrated firepower.

“Pfft, pfft, pfft!” Bullets struck the Crawler’s body one after another, wounding multiple areas and causing dark green blood to gush out. Its movements instantly slowed.

Despite its severe injuries, it stubbornly continued lunging toward Xiao Wuwang, its withered, ferocious, and terrifying visage enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.

Yet, Xiao Wuwang calmly retreated, reloaded a fresh magazine, aimed at the Crawler’s head, and fired.

“Bang!”

Instantly headshot, the final Crawler still collapsed to the ground.

However, slaying these three Crawlers was merely the beginning of this slaughter feast.

As gunshots continued to ring out, more and more Zombies in the small town were drawn over, the streets densely packed with swaying Zombie figures.

By now, quite a few Zombies had already reached the base of the small building.

Time was tight. After Xiao Wuwang took down three Brutes with consecutive precise shots, Zombies had already begun pouring in through the stairwell.

Xiao Wuwang immediately stood up and swiftly climbed up to the small rooftop atop the stairs.

Bang bang…

From his elevated position, the modified QBU-191 precision rifle in Xiao Wuwang’s hands continuously spat tongues of fire.

Each gunshot was accompanied by a Zombie falling, yet their numbers seemed endless, still surging forth from the stairwell in an unceasing stream.

Deafening roars of “Ugh… aah!” filled the air, mingled with a nauseating stench of decay.

Xiao Wuwang remained utterly unfazed, his gaze firm and calm as he continuously pulled the trigger.

He didn’t know how long he had been killing, but eventually, with the stairwell entrance blocked by Zombie corpses, no new Zombies emerged.

Xiao Wuwang returned to the rooftop and continued his assault on the Zombies below.

As each Zombie fell, his Slaughter Points rapidly increased…

Finally, with the last gunshot, the final Zombie collapsed, and the entire world instantly fell silent!

Xiao Wuwang lowered the rifle, now slightly hot to the touch, and let out a long, deep sigh.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, rubbed his numb shoulders, and cleared his ringing ears before checking the time.

Only half an hour had passed, but the sustained high-intensity shooting had taken a significant toll on him.

Opening his Personal Panel, he confirmed his Fatigue Points had indeed dropped to 42.

Xiao Wuwang found a relatively clean corner, took out two scoops of Crimson Flame Bear blood, and drank it down.

Even with his Reborn willpower, drinking the blood amidst a floor littered with Zombie corpses churned his stomach. But to quickly restore his stamina, he forced down the discomfort and swallowed the blood.

To become a top-tier Powerhouse in this brutally unforgiving Survival World, one needed not only formidable willpower but also a strong heart—able to endure what others could not, bear pain others could not withstand, and seize every opportunity for growth!

After drinking the Crimson Flame Bear blood and applying cooling oil, Xiao Wuwang’s Fatigue Points began recovering rapidly.

While waiting for his Fatigue Points to restore, Xiao Wuwang also began tallying the gains from the recent battle.

In this fight, he had consumed over 800 rounds of ammunition, leaving him with only 46 bullets in total!

But the rewards did not disappoint: he had earned a total of 642 Slaughter Points!

At the Slaughter Platform, 10 Slaughter Points could be Redeemed for 1 Infinite Coin. After Settlement, he was guaranteed at least 64 Infinite Coins from this Platform alone!

This was the allure of the Slaughter Platform: if you were strong enough, you could reap immense wealth—and this was just the beginning!

Now, having essentially wiped out the entire town’s Zombie population, and with no other players around, the entire town was his for the looting!

How many resources could he obtain by thoroughly ransacking the whole town?

It was unimaginable!

Not long after, Xiao Wuwang saw that his Fatigue Points had recovered to 60, so he stopped lingering. He got up and, using the pipes and external air conditioning units, leaped down to the ground in a few jumps.

Now it was time to loot the spoils!

Xiao Wuwang went from room to room, scavenging everything he could find.
